Position: Test Technician

Basic Responsibilities:
· Responsible for installation, commissioning and maintenance of protection, testing and measuring equipment.
· Perform routine testing and inspection of panel wiring, battery disconnect supplies and protective relays
· Check all related tests of HV and MV equipment such as switchboards, transformers and cables
· A craftsman’s assistant should monitor VT and CT removal
· Installation, maintenance and download of power quality devices
· Program the voltage regulating relay and check and set the relay settings according to the set standard
· Ensure that independent and collective work is carried out in compliance with government and legislative requirements
· Performs administrative and general duties to promote productivity and service delivery
· Research and resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively
· Maintain professional communication and ethical relationships with stakeholders at all times
qualification
Minimum Requirements:
· N5 Electrical Engineering
· Recognized Electrician Examination Certificate
· Driving license with valid code C1 PrDP
· Basic computer skills
· 3 years of experience in the same environment
· Experience in maintaining municipal electricity distribution, conservation and metering systems will serve as an advantage
